BREMJ Physiotherapy Treatment Aims/Focuses:

  • Listen to clients’ concerns and understand individual need

  • Treating pain & relieve symptoms with timely planned treatment

  • Strengthen “weak” or activate muscles, and stretch tight muscles to help clients coping better in desired activities or sports

Treatment may involve:

    Manual Therapy: to loosen stiff joints that might contribute to pain or joint movement restriction

    Soft Tissue Manipulation (Therapeutic Massage)/Trigger Point Release: to ease pain/symptoms which are caused by muscle spasm/guarding, muscle tightness or other muscles-related issues.

    Exercise Therapy: to improve muscle strength, muscle length, muscle activation and muscle function

    Taping: to support “loose” joint, to improve circulation in muscles, to give a joint better support, to facilitate correction of joint alignment etc

    Ergonomic assessment/education: to reduce clients’ exposure to physical hazards such as awkward postures, sustained posture for long hours, repetitive tasks etc 

    Pillow/sleeping posture assessment: to remove/minimize the soft tissue strain/unhealthy loading applied on neck spines/shoulders by selecting a proper pillow for sleeping
